碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 企業管理學系 === 100 === In the past researches, although there have been scholars already to investigate virtual community as their research agenda, there are still no studies done by the point of view of social cognition theory, to be in combination with the concept of individual privacy protection. The social cognition theory has been applied widely on areas such as medicine, education, and strategic management before, but lately, there is a gradual emphasis on the application of computer skill learning for the theory. However, there are no studies done on the social behaviors of virtual community to combine the social cognition theory with individual privacy protection belief. Based upon this, this paper will use such a combination as the research scenario, to make up the gap for the investigation on the continuing usages of virtual community websites by the social group members, under the premise that there is insufficiency on the individual privacy protection concept nowadays. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between the combination of social cognition theory and privacy protection belief and intention to use and actual use for using virtual community. The paper is in combination of social cognition theory with individual privacy protection belief to make investigation on the antecedents to the actual usages of virtual community websites by the social group members.
