Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 土木與水資源工程學系研究所 === 100 === This study uses waste straw stems and polyacrylamide (PAM) as a new substitute filling for planting in porous concrete, reuses straw stems to reduce the pollution from burning waste straw stems, and uses PAM as a conditioner of cement.
Study result shows that, after adding fully mixed grated straw stems and PAM, it can enhance plant germination rate and better root growth. Moreover, adding PAM while making porous concrete can control the amount of cement slurry efficiently. As PAM is added to 0.05%~1%, the problem of sediment onto the bottom while making porous concrete can be solved, and increases the porosity to 33%. When W/C 0.35 is with PAM added 0.5%, it can meet the requirement of Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs and offer plants better growing environment.
We know that from the experiment of vegetation material property, the new vegetation materials’ pH of 6.9 is quite suitable for plants’ growing; also from the germination rate, we know that the grass germination rate is increase about 2% to 10% than that which vegetation material is not added. On the amount of straw stems with a porous concrete, per square meter can consume 1.82 kilograms of straw stems. It would have a higher consumption in the futurre with compaction and additional thickness.
We learn from microscopic experiment—FT-IR, that PAM causes a delayed effect of the hydration, and decline of the early strength. The image of SEM shows that the structure of cement becomes dense and thicker and makes the porosity higher, but it becomes the main reason of declining the strengh.
