The expressions and emotional changes of athletes in motion serve as the main investigating topic. The main structure of this exposition is based on three sections: theoretical foundation, creative concepts and practices, as well as work analysis. This research on creative work began in 2008 and continues throughout 2012. The scope of the work includes the artists’ favorite expressions of athletes throughout the history of sports combined with a mutual analysis through the fulfillment of art practices combined with art theories, which presents this phase of artistic thinking and creativity. The introduction in Chapter One illustrates and explains the motivation and purpose of this research exposition, the researching methods and procedures, and includes the scope of this research as well as a glossary. Chapter Two explores the manifestation and behavior of sketch lines of the portrait and what the sketch lines present. This chapter extends from exploration of sketch lines to the start and inspiration of the creativity of each sketcher. Chapter Three is a thorough analysis of the creative ideas of each artist, starting from the developing process of learning and leading to the current evolutionary stage of “linear structure” drawing technique. Chapter Four focuses on the creative ideas or the thematic content of each work, thus providing a more in-depth explanation. And the last chapter, Chapter Five, begins with introspection and reflection of the artist in their journey in the creation of the work and the attitude held during the creative process. As a follow-up, the artists do a general summarization and organization of their insights, and broadening each artist’s outlook on the future development in the area of artistic creative work. During the process of developing the artistic creative work exposition, the encountering of many difficulties, the reading of theoretical concepts, the search for information, and the constant pondering of creative work practices enable every artist to experience the difficulty of researching creativity. Formulating the style of the “linear structure” concept is through the continuous process of construction, deconstruction then reconstruction. As such, within this process, artists come to a better understanding of the values of artistic creative work research. Not only does it benefit them in art itself, but it also enables them to reflect and rethink on what they lack. Hopefully through this process, the artists can better achieve their own ideals and goals. Key Words:Linear structure,Portrait(s),Creation of ink portraits,Sketch lines 王源東 學位論文 ; thesis 160 zh-TW
