This study tries to explore how different variables could result in the differences in students’ leisure participation, leisure constraints, and leisure satisfaction aspects and also how they are related to one other. To achieve the above purposes, this study applied the survey method. To examine high-grade students’ leisure participation, leisure constraints, and leisure satisfaction, Chiayi County elementary high-grade students are as participants in this study. Followings are the results for this study: (1) The differences of current leisure participation: The elementary high-grade students have overall low leisure participation. Among types of leisure participation, “entertainment” activities reach the highest significance. Moreover, the data also show that there are significant difference different genders in “sports,” “arts” and “sociability” activities. Students who live in different areas are significant difference in their recreational leisure activities. The data also indicates that there is significant difference in the students’ overall leisure participation because of students’ different socioeconomic background. (2) The current status and difference of leisure constraints: Among these leisure constraints, elementary high-grade students show the highest frequency in “constructional constraints.” Students of different genders also show significant difference in “intrapersonal constraints.” (3) The current status and difference of leisure satisfaction: Elementary high-grade students show the highest leisure satisfaction in “education.” Students of different genders show evident leisure satisfaction in “sociality.” Students in different grade also show the evident leisure satisfaction in “relaxation.” (4) The relationship between leisure participation, leisure constraints, and leisure satisfaction: Elementary high-grade students have shown positive and evident relationship on the “overall leisure participation” and “overall leisure satisfaction.” Followings are the results of this study: (1) The elementary high-grade students have shown overall low leisure participation and the focus of their leisure participation is most on “entertainment” activities. (2) The highest leisure constraint shown by the elementary high-grade students is the “constructional constraint.” (3) The highest leisure satisfaction shown by elementary high-grade students is the “education” level. (4) High-grade students of different genders also show significant difference on “sports,” “arts,” and “sociality” activities. (5) Students grown up in different socioeconomic status family also show evident difference in their overall leisure participation. (6) Elementary high-grade students of different genders also show evident difference in “intrapersonal constraints.” (7) Elementary high-grade students show evident difference of the leisure satisfaction in “sociality”. (8) Students in different grade also show evident difference of the leisure satisfactory in the “recreation.” (9) For elementary high-grade students, there is a positive relationship between leisure participation and leisure satisfaction.
