Through purposive sampling, this study invited 3 counseling psychologists who have more than 3 years experience of practical counseling to give a narrative description of their experience and development processes of professional identities. Via holistic-content analysis of the narrative approach, those counseling psychologists presented their professional development processes of professional identity. And then, through category-content analysis, this study has a comprehensive analytic discussion which includes every subject as a whole. Use their practical experience, positive or negative events, the process of identity development and research’s interpretation of counseling psychologists in Taiwan was delineated. The findings of this study are listed as follow: 1. Participants can reinterpret and find new meanings of negative experience, and turn it into their experience of professional identities in the intension and development processes of their professional identities. 2. Participants’ experience and development processes of professional identities can be divided into three stages: the novice stage, the experienced stage, and the independent stage. 3. From Participants’ experience and development processes of professional identities, this study found that those participants have several traits: the expanding of professional resilience, the relationship of systematic cooperation, the growth of life experience, a genuine and congruence person, and to define counseling work by themselves.
