Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to explore the test anxiety of gifted students in high school. Depending on the method and procedure of phenomenological study, researcher used the semi-structure interview as a tool to realize the experience of test anxiety of five gifted students in high school. Participants are come from the middle part of Taiwan. Three are 17 years old male, in the same class in their second grade of high school; rest two students are 18 years old female, in the same class in their third grade of high school. The major finding of this study was described as follows: Test anxiety is found in the cognitive and affective perspectives. Even though gifted students in high school have heavy pressure from studying, they possess great motivation of achievement. They appear no non adaptive behavior. Test anxiety could facilitate them to get better prepare for the next exam.
Finally, based on the results and discussions, the study provided concrete suggestions for the concerning guidance practitioner s and further researchers.
