Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 森林暨自然資源學系研究所 === 100 === Taiwan is small and densely populated. In recent years, the rapid urban development makes the place where many old trees have long been to developed for public facilities or buildings, have been replaced. In this case, find an appropriate place to transplant the old trees, not only protect the old trees but also take into account the urban development, after all, the practice is the best of both worlds. Cinnamomum kanehirai and Cinnamomum camphora as the objects of this research, observe root regeneration after root pruning. Transplantation Cinnamomum kanehirai is rare, in order to understand it more, compare the growth status of Cinnamomum kanehirai with Cinnamomum camphora, to recommend transplant process for garden landscaping workers.
Theoretically, the longer the period of transplanted preparation is, the more time to develop new roots tree have, and the success rate of transplantation would increase, but the cost such as management and time would increase, too. So transplanted preparation period consumed as less as possible on the premise that trees could survive.
After root pruning, the length, diameter and root ratio of new root of Cinnamomum kanehirai are significantly lower than Cinnamomum camphora, even if joined the soil temperature to determine, the results remained unchanged. The slower root regeneration rate is, the slower restoration of water absorption capacity is, and require more time for transplanted preparation period. So transplanted preparation period Cinnamomum kanehirai need more than Cinnamomum camphora do.
This research related big tree transplantation should meet tree transplantation works, the choice of plant material, experiment location and root pruning season are all limited, and they’re difficult to overcome in the research. If we really break these limits, the result will be more accurate.
Big tree transplantation has been increasing popularity, as long as use the right method and grasp the key, maintaining high survival rate is no longer a problem. In the future, the technique will pursue to avoid heavy pruning and to reduce transplantation cost, so that landscape and Green function of the trees could achieve the maximum benefit with the least cost.
