Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 教育行政與政策發展研究所 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to understand how junior high school teachers, parents and students think about the senior high school entrance methods in Taiwan. The research compared the following four methods: the Basic Competence Test, the performance of the students at school, the school district registration and the Entrance Exam. The researcher wanted to find out the appropriateness of these four methods relatively. The present study adopted Analytic Hierarchy Process Theory. For junior high school teachers, each of the 250 subjects was given a questionnaire to fill out. A total of 205 were returned. Out of those, 63 were valid. For junior high school parents, each of the 250 subjects was given a questionnaire to fill out. A total of 203 were returned. Out of those, 44 were valid. For junior high school students, each of the 250 subjects was given a questionnaire to fill out. A total of 205 were returned. Out of those, 80 were valid. Following is the summary of the study: 1. By comparing the four methods, teachers perceived that reducing the stress to enter a higher school was the most important standard, however, parents and students considered fairness and justice most. 2. As to the reorganization of the senior high school entrance methods, teachers preferred the Entrance Exam. But, parents and students had the same opinion. Both of them liked the school district registration. 3. Teachers and students from different areas had diverse ideas about the school district registration and the Basic Competence Test. Teachers and students from urban areas preferred the Basic Competence Test; and teachers and students from countryside liked the school district registration. 4. Different participants had opposite concepts towards the senior high school entrance methods. Students cared about fairness and justice, but teachers cared about reducing the stress of the students. Teachers also preferred adopting the performance of the students at school while students and parents preferred taking the school district registration. According to the results, the researcher suggested education administration to place importance on the opinions of junior high school teachers, parents and students. The administrators should stand in their shoes and try to make appropriate schemes. Hope this study could be a useful reference material for the education administration to make better high school entrance methods in the future.
