Relationship between Internet Use Experience and Hope of College Student in Taiwan

碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 輔導與諮商學系所 === 100 === College students’ life is connected with the Internet, and Internet addiction is worth noting with positive psychology view. The study use “Internet use experience” to contain Internet addiction (IAD), Internet-based hope (IH), Internet halt experience,and want to find out the relationship between the experience and hope. Chen Internet addiction scale (CIAS), new trait hope scale (enhanced hope &; peaceful hope, EH &;PH), Internet-based hope scale, Internet halt scale are used to explore the relationship. Results: (1) IH is positive correlated with IAD and EH, but IAD and EH are negative correlated. (2) IAD is higher in male, but IH has no correlation with IAD in male. (3) IAD-high-risk group has fixed time on the Internet, especially on holidays, and IH has no correlation, too. (4) IAD is higher in group with only IH, and lower in group with only EH. (5) Relationship between IAD, IH and EH is changing in different hope group. (6) Students stop using Internet because of the conditions more. The suggestions and limitations are listed according to the results.
