It is composed of a three-phase power factor corrector and a output voltage regulation controller. It can realize the function of the wind turbine power factor correction, reducing current total harmonic distortion and output voltage regulation. Three-phase power factor corrector uses a full-controlled AC/DC converter with a current controller. The output voltage regulation controller is achieved by the UC3854 internal multiplier. The power factor correction with fast dynamic response can improve the efficiency and operation noise of wind turbine power generation. Finally, a 3000W wind generator power factor corrector is designed and implemented to verify the feasibility of the proposed system. The experimental results show that the proposed wind turbine power factor corrector can improve the power factor, the efficiency and the temperature rising of the wind turbine when the wind turbine operates at different wind speeds.
