However, there is one main disadvantage that the smart phone monitor is too small. The study aims to transfer the screen on the smart phone to an external embedded monitor or mini projector with Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) technique to extend the display size with same or higher resolution. It will make the user more comfortable to watch the screen. Moreover, the user can control the smart phone through the touch panel, keyboard, or mouse. The functions of other mobile devices, such as navigator, digital photo frame, e-books and tablet, can then be achieved by integrating a smart phone and a touch panel with the proposed technique. A prototype with the proposed technique is constructed to verify the vailidy of the proposed functions. From the experimental results, it is seen that the screen with 320*240 resolution on the smart phone can be well-transferred to the PC with 800*600 resolution on Windows XP system and 800*480 resolution on Linux system. Also, the vedio on the smart phone can be played on the external monitor with or without the wire connection. The function for user to control the smart phone through touch panel is verified as well. As a result, it can be seen that the proposed technique can save about 84.6% cost of the user spent on the above-listed devices. 蕭瑛星博士 陳財榮博士 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 58 zh-TW
