Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 商業教育學系 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between teachers’ job characteristics and emotional labor of elementary school teachers. It focused on:investigating the current state of teachers’ job characteristics and emotional labor of elementary school teachers.The research method was the questionnaire survey. The samples in this research were the homeroom teacher, subject teachers, group leaders, and directors from elementary school in Changhua County. The collected data were analyzed for the hypothesis test through descriptive statistics, the t-test, one-way ANOVA,and Person product-moment correlation .A brief summary of the data analysis outcome was as followings: 1.Both the current situations of teachers’ job characteristics and emotional labor in elementary schools are all above average. Among them, the dimension of “skill variety”and the dimension of “basic emotional express”got the highest scores. 2.The teachers’ job characteristics had no significant differences in gender, marital relationship, parenthood, seniority, academic achievements and the scale of school . 3.The teachers’ job characteristics varied significantly from different positions. The directors’, the group leaders’ and homeroom teachers’ consciousness at “skill variety”, “task identity and “job characteristics” is better than the subject teachers’. 4.The teachers’ emotional labor had no significant differences in gender, marital relationship, parenthood, seniority, academic achievements, and the scale of school . 5.The teachers’ emotional labor varied significantly from different positions. The directors’ consciousness at “emotional labor” is better than the subject teachers’. 6.A positive correlation was observed between elementary school teachers’ job characteristics and emotional labor . Specifically, the suggestions of the findings were made for educational administrators, school administrators, teachers in elementary school and future researchers.
