For the Taiwanese enterprises investing in China, it is important to choose the market entry mode in the consideration of entry decision. Previously, the foreign enterprises entered China’s markets in the form of IJV(International Joint Venture). After the middle nineties, they preferred entering China’s markets with WFOE(Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise). We can find from the behavior of Taiwanese business that the rate of choosing WFOE management has been rising year by year. The research takes two companies with different industrial backgrounds as examples and probes into the reasons why the Taiwanese enterprises which entered China’s markets with WFOE management had their conversion to IJV for their subsidiaries. The findings show that the factors of influencing the entry modes of enterprises are the growth of the industry, the changes of partner strategies , the achievement of IJV objectives, the learning effects of IJV, and establishment of guanxi network. The researches examining the changes of Taiwanese enterprises’ entry modes are still lacking so far. This research tries to find out the possible reasons of the changes entry modes and makes a contribution to following related research.
