Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 100 === The aim of this study is to investigate the critical factors for effective school management by identifying and defining the core factors.A meta-analysis technique was used to synthesize the results of 50 independent studies in 2006-2011 and to examine the overall relationship about educational outcomes, which are central to the theoretical analysis in the study. Researcher analyzes mean correlations, based on these Literatures relevant to major Variables that contributed to the school effectiveness. Converting diverse outcome measures derived from different researches into a common standardized scale that can be combined for analysis, including School-Based Management, Leadership Styles, Organizational Commitment, Teacher Professional Development, Organizational Culture, Organizational Innovation, School Public Relations, Knowledge Management to establish their respective importance in terms of estimated effect sizes; where effects are defined as the association of the school. Every analysis builds on 2 valid theses’ data for the sake of keeping a stable effect size. Classified by stakeholders, these variables were divided into three domains: leader, educational worker, and organization. The results of this research show as follows: The results of estimated effect size from the meta-analyses in terms of r indicated that all variables do have a positive and significant effect on educational achievement. The study also included consideration of which study descriptors such as school types, location, other extraneous variables might account for any variation in effect sizes. According to the main finding, some recommendations have been proposed: 1. Put the outer factor such as setting variables to enhance the external validity. 2. Integrate the different types of meta-analysis method to reduce the bias. 3. Based on these findings as a reference to future researches and educational organizations.
