The population of the study consisted of the ninth graders who decided on technical education programs in the middle of Taiwan, including five counties and cities. 500 questionnaires were delivered, with 443 of them effectively returned. The return rate reached 88.6%. To conduct the data analysis, the researcher adopted descriptive statistics, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Brown-Forsythe test, Scheffé’s method, Tamhane’s T2 and Pearson's Correlation. (2) The students who regard the program they are taking as their first choice show higher self-efficacy than those who don’t. (3) The students who get A in the technical education programs show higher self-efficacy than those who get B or C. (4) Family economic conditions significantly affect the fact that if students are happy to learn. The students whose family economic conditions are categorized as poor learn most happily. The second is the students whose family economic conditions are on average. The students whose family economic conditions are at the comfortable level of living are the least happy to learn. 4.
