Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 光電科學研究所 === 100 === In this thesis, a novel edge-lit backlight module was proposed, which had high efficiency, collimation, luminance and a thin border. The module can be applied not only to small-sized or mobile product, but also to notebook or tablet PC. Furthermore, it can also provide special function such as anti-peep, sunlight readability. In architecture, this backlight module has very narrow border of 2.5 mm or below; a folded and piece-up light guide plate of 2.0 mm thickness. The FWHM of the output intensity of this module is less than 14 degrees, and the on-axis luminance is up to 20000 nits.
