How to design a thinner and lighter display is the key point of each panel’s vender in the early time of the new models developed. The mold and back cover and LGP are the three main parts that cause thickness and weight in back-light-module but the mold and back cover is thinner and lighter than LGP. So it is effectively way to reduce the thickness and weight of LGP. It can’t be satisfied in thinner and lighter in market by normal LGP design so that the Trumpet-shaped light-guide-plate has been designed. This paper to use LIGHTTOOLS optical simulation software, with the Taguchi design of experiments and use of ray tracing the simulation of the LGP network optimization, recognition of a different thickness, the slope of the optical brightness and visual effects performance, to define better the Trumpet-shaped light-guide-plate form factor design rules, to facilitate the backlight designers determined in the shortest possible time the best Trumpet-shaped light-guide-plate design to achieve reduce LGP weight of about 20 percent and save 19% of the price of the light guide plate monomer and has to accelerate the kinds of development and reduce mold development costs and other additional benefits Rong-Seng Chang 張榮森 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 93 zh-TW |
