Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 工業管理研究所 === 100 === In recent years, with the increase of the economy globalization, market competition and the development of network communications, logistics industry had carried out the revolution and innovation, and expected to shorten the distance between shop floor and consumer markets. It can reduce the disparity in production time and consumption time to greet the era of consumer explosion in the twenty-first century. Channel revolution through the setting up of a logistics center, which can effectively decrease the distribution frequency, and improve the efficiency of logistics operations. Therefore, how to find a good strategy to reduce operating time and cost from inbound to outbound, which will have a significant impact to help the logistics center enhance the operational efficiency.
This study is used cross-docking as a strategy in logistics operations. We set items can transport to the logistics center by the supplier, and classify them in accordance with the orders. After the orders are completed, these items directly transport to the outbound dock waiting for shipping. In addition, the items do not need to store in the logistics center. Hence, we can eliminate items on the inbound, putaway, storage and order picking operations in the cross-docking environment, so that we can find the shortest time from inbound to outbound.
We use two decision-making strategies. First is ‘the assignment rule of temporary storage area.’ Second is ‘the service rule of Tally Zone.’ Our data obtained by the simulation way, and we compare the total system time in our study environment. Also, we paired analysis of which two rules match will significantly enhance the operational efficiency.
