Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 平面顯示技術碩士學位學程 === 100 === This study describes use liquid crystal polymer (LCP) as the material of 3D convex lens array. The use of the nature of liquid crystal birefringence, we reach to 2D and 3D mode switchable naked-eye 3D display technology. It also has high brightness and multi-view angle advantages. We use the above features to complete the development of novel 3D display.
We use resin material as a substrate of concave lens. Besides, we are coating polyimide (PI) film on the glass substrate. We let those two substrates with grooves on surface by cotton cloth rubbing method, respectively. After LCP are coated on top of the PI glass substrate. We assemble those two substrates in a vacuum environment. Then we apply stress and annealing procedures to align liquid crystal molecules. The liquid crystal material is polymerized by UV light exposure. Finally, we remove the glass substrate.
The experiment results show that use of the above-mentioned production methods, through the control of rubbing conditions, stress applied method and temperature curve of anneal. We can make effectively alignment of liquid crystal molecules. Then we complete the LCP lens array fabrication of 3D display.
