碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 體育推廣學系碩士班 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between social supports and sports values among the elementary school tug-of-war athletes, and the differences between social supports and sports values on demographic characters. This study recruited elementary school tug-of-war athletes who participated in 2012 national tug-of-war competition as participants, Social support and sport values scale were administrated. .Three hundred and thirty questionnaires were distributed and 325 valid questionnaires retrieved. The valid response rate is 98.48%. One-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s method, t test, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data. The result showed that: (1) Tug-of-war athletes’ social supports are came from parents, teachers and teammates. (2) Four factors were thr in sports values, named as personal sports value, social sports value, moral sports value, and capability sports value. (3) There were significant differences on grade, weeks of training, training duration, national tug-of-war of participation, and accomplishment. (4) There were significantly positive correlations between social supports and sports values.
