Multi-symbol channel estimation inserts pilots in multi-symbol transmitter, and then compares multi-symbol transmitter's pilots to receiver's data. Matrix operation can get polynomial function which approximates the time-varying channel. Using polynomial function can get time-domain and frequency-domain channel response matrix easily. Multi-symbol channel estimation is that each symbol is allocated sparse pilots. Therefore, the channel estimation performances still remain well no matter in slow fading channel or fast fading channel.
