In addition, Rec assay was also used to detect genotoxicity in samples showing, high dioxin-like activity or yeast growth inhibition. These samples were further fractionated by high performance liquld (HPLC) to investigate potential substances exhibiting both dioxin-like activity and genotoxicity. Experimental results showed that dioxin-like activity was detected in most of the water, suspended solids, and sediment samples. Benzo(a)pyrene equivalent concentration (BaP-EQ) of water samples was from 70.0 to 10847.7 ng BaP-EQ/L. Higher BaP-EQ was detected in PZ, JJ, ER and AGD rivers during the dry season, and JJ, YS and AGD rivers during the wet season. BaP-EQ of suspended solids samples was from 64.9 to 186041.1 ng BaP-EQ/L. Significant BaP-EQ was detected in PZ and ER rivers during the dry season, and JS and GP rivers during the wet season. BaP-EQ of sediment samples was from 340.0 to 36288.3 ng BaP/g sediment-EQ, and DS and AGD rivers were severely contaminated by dioxin-like compounds. After HPLC fractionation, dioxin-like activity was mostly detected in fractions collected from 20 to 30 minutes. However, higher genotoxicity was only found in ER1 and ER7 water samples collected at Erren river during the wet season. Potential candidates showing dioxin-like activity and/or genotoxicity were present in the 21th fraction of ER1 and ER7 water samples. Pei-Hsin Chou 周佩欣 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 140 zh-TW
