Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程學系碩博士班 === 100 === This paper aims to improve the precision of the acupuncture needle depth detector (ANDD) that was first studied by the NDE laboratory in NCKU. The ANDD was designed and followed the previous developed systems in the NDE Lab. It was developed by employing the magnification of inner/outer diameter and combining the new system to have measured data with the “rising” and “stabbing” action of needle to detect the passing light specially made parallel sweeping grating which was assisted by AT89S51 microcontroller. Afterward, the measured data are transmitted through RS-232 and the needle penetration depth will be displayed via the user-interface program on the computer to show the depth limit and alert. Thus, it ensures the safety of the patients. The experiments show that the new system has improved the precision and accuracy no matter the needle is inserted or not. Therefore, it has successfully overcome the most prominent drawback of its predecessor.
