Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程學系碩博士班 === 100 === This thesis presents the fault-diagnosis scheme and hardware architecture for brushless DC motor drives. Different from most complicated fault diagnosis algorithms, this thesis proposes a compact fault-diagnosis algorithm through the observation of electrical characteristics of the motors. By employing this algorithm, it not only reduces the computation time of fault detection, but also decreases the investment cost of hardware circuits. In this proposed hardware scheme, microprocessor control chip serves as the core of the system, by which the peripheral devices are also well integrated. Moreover, wireless sensor network is utilized in this scheme such that the remote monitoring can be more easily performed, while the remote monitoring can be realized with a higher convenience. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, several experiments have been performed. Test outcome indicates that the proposed approach owns the function of fault- diagnosis of brushless DC motor drives along with the remote monitoring capability, which is beneficial to the monitoring of other electric motor drives.
