After The World Food Crisis in 2008, Food Security had drawn people’s attention. Moreover, after the international food issues had occurred, such as genetically modified foods and the agricultural production lacking of conscience, Food Safety had also been noticed. Therefore, the new urbanism – Agriculture Urbanism had been brought up to integrate food supply system and urban space for adequate and healthy food supply. In addition, agricultural land not only can offer food but also improve the environment, such as flood detention, cooling effect, adjusting the micro-climate etc. However, when Green Revolution occurred in 1950s, agriculture used a large number of fertilizer, pesticides, herbicide, which can decrease and even eliminate the ecology on agricultural land. Considering the food and ecology demands, “Organic agriculture” became the subject of this study. Organic agriculture offer not only safe food’s quality but also the value of ecology, therefore this study considered organic agriculture will to be an important and particular part of agricultural land planning. According to some literature, several important environment factors were selected by organic agriculture: (1) independent blocks of agricultural land; (2) to be next to non-contamination land use; or (3) large-scale agricultural land that can set the buffer zone to avoid the pollution of conventional agriculture around. In addition, the location of farm is better on the border between agriculture and non-contamination land use than all agriculture around. Then this study use three main factors to analyze the location of organic agriculture in Tainan, which are production environment, farming costs and sales channels. Contingency tables were used to compare the distribution of conventional agriculture and organic agriculture in three directions including cluster, scale and species. Finally, this study used odds ratio analysis with three categorical variables - cluster, scale and transection to find that: (1) organic farmlands were related with conventional farmlands in district scale; (2) big farms were related with the organic cluster area; (3) it would be more easily to form an organic cluster area in sub-urban; (4) organic vegetable is more likely planted in urban area than rural area. From the findings, this study suggests some strategies to improve the situation in different transections: (1) ecological farm; (2) organic village and community; (3) integrate with urban design. If the above is carried out, we believe it will do great help to the sustainable farmland planning. Horng-Chang Hsieh 謝宏昌 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 85 zh-TW
