The JP-8 is the major fuel used in the system. The system, combined power turbine with generator, was powered by the high exhaust gas temperature from the high speed turbine generator. In this study, there were two different ways to link generator and turbine engine. The parameters in the system with different generator output were investigated, including temperature, pressure, fuel consumption, etc. The three-phase alternator used in this study is suitable for the high-speed turbine engine. Rather than using spindle motor, the power turbine was powered by the gas generator. The gas generator with separate power turbine was successfully set up; and after ignition process, it could reach the required high revolution speed, i.e. 90,000 RPM.
