Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 化學系碩博士班 === 100 === The main goal of this research is developing a simple synthetic method for the preparation of buckybowls and their derivatives. FVP is widely used for synthesizing buckybowls, but there are several limitations of this method such as low functional group tolerance, low yields and thermal rearrangements. Compared with traditional FVP , metal-catalyzed bond formation is under mild condition and in solution phase. Herein, we hope to utilize palladium as the catalyst to synthesize buckybowls.
Buckybowls 29-33 were prepared from fluoranthene derivatives by palladium-catalyzed cyclization. The reaction conditions have been optimized. The structure of bowl-shaped molecules 29-33 were confirmed by X-ray crystallographic methods. In addition, according to the POAV analysis, buckybowls 29-33 have high POAV angles. Finally, we can find that buckybowls 29-33 have extremely high inversion energy by NMR experiment.
