Collectively, members cause diseases on over 392 plant species, including at least 124 monocot and 268 dicot plant hosts. Especially, pathogen Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris is the causal agent of black rot of crucifers and which is one of the most serious disease problems in Taiwan. By genome-wide comparative between two pathogens with distinct host to discuss host specificity of XCC . The research analyzes the bacterial community of the seed and leaf from infected Brassica oleracea var. italica, the result shows Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris B100 is dominant bacteria among the community and no other plant-pathogenic species has been found. We also conduct the genome-wide sequencing of Xanthomonas campestris pv.mangiferaeindicae and calculated the values of Ka and Ks, and then using Normal Distribution method to find the candidate genes possibly implicated in the host specificity of Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris ATCC33913, and further analysis of amino acid level of these genes, pathogenicity-related genes show highly specific amino acid sites correspond with the plant host among variable sites , which reveals these particular sites may involve in the host specificity for Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris.
