Thus, the innovation design is a key factor for the enterprise to make lasting competition. In the past, the products were usually designed on designer’s based design ability and his/her experience. While under limited information, the product can not be designed to satisfy the consumers’ requirement, and the risk of product development is increased for an enterprise. In today’s emotional consumption type, the value of products is not merely with beautiful appearance and appropriate function, but must be designed accord with consumers' taste too. So designers must find out about consumer's psychology request to the best expected value of the products, and give the products with the best shape, material, color, and the feeling that could satisfy consumer's psychology and physical requirement and pay attention to improve the additional value of the products to reach the supreme benefit.
So, if a computer-aided aesthetic measure evaluation system could be developed, then the time, manpower and material resources could be reduced in the product developing process, and consequently the competitiveness of the industry is improved. In this study, we apply the genetic algorithm and aesthetic theory to generate the optimization at form, which fit the customer and designer requirement. The genetic algorithm can reduce the process which designers modify the form to meet the best form with aesthetic.
