The advantages of the small technical enterprises include rapid production management, strict cost control and streamlining of precision manufacturing technology and manpower. However, when these type of companies enter the field of innovation and R &; D, they will face problems such as lack of manpower and funds, the heritage between staff experience and technical is difficult, and the difficulty of making decisions as to which kind of market they should cut into, which product development and its future development to select. This study proposes a research and development process by using secondary data, market information, consumer demand and industry information to do product research and development needs analysis. Using brainstorming to do discussion and analysis of all types and then generate ideas. By utilizing SWOT analysis to produce the R &; D strategy, heavy computing and weights by QFD, TRIZ contradiction matrix and 40 invention theory with patent search analysis tools to generate creative ideas. This process can streamline R &; D manpower, organization is simple, and participants can join the discussion easily which drives them to create creative and patent valued concepts which made it suitable for micro technology OEM industries to implement innovative and R&;D methods. Let the small manufacturing enterprises who want enter the innovation and R &; D take advantage of this process to drill development, in order to meet the market demand, the cost of small-scale patent thinking and products suited to their technology.
