In 2007, HTML5 comes up to resolve these shortages. In this thesis, we study the performance variations of web multimedia streaming delivery using HTML5 video fallback mechanism. We focus on the performance comparisons of cpu and memory usage under different hardware platforms, operating systems, and browsers. HTML5 video fallback mechanism is advantageous to support the cross-platform feature. but it fails to provide the best video format and resolution to clients. Hence, we enhance HTML5 video fallback mechanism to be client-customized, and to alleviate the resource usage and to provide the better play quality. Shang-Juh Kao 高勝助 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 40 zh-TW
