Then we discuss to simulate the different tracking system for solar electric and thermal system. The solar collecting system includes concentrator, frame, and solar tracking system. The hot water system includes flat collector, receiving plate, water tubes, storage tank, and pump. The power generation system is thermoelectric modules. A theoretical model of the whole system was derived according to the specifications of the thermoelectric module and the system design parameters, and the system performance was calculated to obtain the optimized setting of working condition such that the best efficiency of the system can be achieved. A miniature system was established and its performance was tested. It was found that at the solar radiation flux of 800 W/m2, a total efficiency of 50% could be achieved. However, most of the solar energy has been converted to thermal energy instead of electricity.
