A new sensor is used in an electric bike drive and its function can also help the drive to meet the corresponding safety standards as the old sensors done. Generally, the grip handle and foot pedal sensors are used as the motor drive’s driving signal sources. However, in this work, one attempts to use a gyroscope sensor to replace the functions of the grip handle and foot pedal sensors. A digital control core of Texas Instruments C2000 series DSP chip TMS320LF2407A is used to fulfill total control functions. This paper discusses the physical principles of the gyroscope and its digital signal processing algorithms. Also, the driver functions including system safety protection, sensor control, processing of the offset angle, and up and down hill control are detailed described. Finally, experimental results are shown to explain the feasibility of the newly used gyroscope sensor in an electric bike drive. Shinn Ming SUE 蘇信銘 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 59 zh-TW
