Description
Summary:碩士 === 明新科技大學 === 土木工程與環境資源管理研究所 === 100 === In recent years, cold-formed stainless steel structural members are commonly used in the architectural and structural engineering, as well as, some special structure due to their advantages of high sternth, light weight, and maintenance-free. This study presents the experimental investigation on web crippling strength of cold-formed stainless steel, type 304, hat-sectioned flexural members. The predicted web crippling strengths are determined by using the ASCE Specification (ASCE) for the design of cold-formed stainless steel structural members and the North American Specification (NAS) for the design of cold-formed steel structural members, accordingly. The material properties of type 304 stainless steel were conducted in accordance with CNS requirements. In this study, web crippling loading condition is based on the End-One-Flange (EOF) loading as given in the ASCE Specification. The newly developed design equation is proposed in this study, which can more accurately predict the web crippling strength of cold-formed stainless steel beams.
