This study adopts the questionnaire survey, using the questionnaire of “The Learning Attitudes of Recorder by the Sixth Grade Students in Elementary School” as the research tool, adopting the lamination to decide the sample. The participants are 693 sixth Grade students in the 30 elementary schools in Yunlin County. The data are analyzed by the Chinese version of the software of SPSS 12.0. The statistical methods include Descriptive statistics, t test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffe and Pearson product-moment correlation and the results are shown as the following. Here are the conclusions: First, from the survey of all the participants, factor items, such as “The Attitudes toward Teachers’ Teaching”, “The Attitudes toward the Curriculum”, “The Dedicated and Initiative Attitudes” and “The Attitudes toward Learning Peers” show in positive learning attitudes. Second, according to different background variables, there are some differences in students’ learning attitudes of learning recorder. 1. Girl’s learning attitudes are better than those of boys’, which also shows remarkable differences. 2. Students with musical instruments' learning experiences have better learning attitudes than those who have no learning experiences with musical instruments, which also show remarkable differences. 3. Students who are involved in musical club have better learning attitudes than those who are not involved in musical club, which also show remarkable differences. 4. Students who join in the musical contests have better learning attitudes than those who do not, which also show remarkable differences. 5. Students with longer practice time each week have better learning attitudes than those who have shorter practice time each week, which also show remarkable differences. 6. Students in the smaller size of the school have better learning attitudes than those in the bigger size of the school, which also show remarkable differences. 7. Students from the schools in the remote districts have the best learning attitudes; students from the schools in the rural areas have the better learning attitudes; students from the schools in the city town central areas have normally good learning attitudes. Third, the results show the correlation between various aspects of the attitudes in recorder learning. 1. Towards students’ learning attitudes, the correlation between the aspects of “The Attitudes toward Teachers’ Teaching” and “The Attitudes toward the Curriculum” is positively related. 2. Towards students’ learning attitudes, the correlation between the aspects of “The Attitudes toward Teachers’ Teaching” and “The Dedicated and Initiative Attitudes” is positively related. 3. Towards students’ learning attitudes, the correlation between the aspects of “The Attitudes toward Teachers’ Teaching” and “The Attitudes toward Learning Peers” is positively related. 4. Towards students’ learning attitudes, the correlation between the aspects of “The Attitudes toward the Curriculum” and “The Dedicated and Initiative Attitudes” is positively related. 5. Towards students’ learning attitudes, the correlation between the aspects of “The Attitudes toward the Curriculum” and “The Attitudes toward Learning Peers” is positively related. 6. Towards students’ learning attitudes, the correlation between the aspects of “The Dedicated and Initiative Attitudes” and “The Attitudes toward Learning Peers” is positively related.
