Summary: | 碩士 === 明道大學 === 光電暨能源工程學系碩士班 === 100 === This thesis investigated the feasibility of applying photovoltaic technology to waterwheel aerators. The solar energy was transformed to electricity by one polycrystalline silicon and one tandem solar modules. The experiment contained the system plan, instrument installation, power supply design, and power measurements of solar modules. In our results, the daily power output of the two solar modules could allow the waterwheel aerator to run for 0.78 h, and it was comparable to the theoretical value. This successful demonstration indicates that the waterwheel aerator can be operated without grid to reach the purpose of energy saving and carbon reduction. Ultimately we expect that our work can promote photovoltaic-driven aerators for practical use in the future.
