Related university departments have brought out tourism English courses one after another. Previous English for Specific Purpose (ESP) studies have focused on needs analysis for students’ basic English skills in general English courses. However, according to suggestions from the tourism industry, needs analysis for students of Tourism English should be developed more to meet current trends. This study aimed to explore the results of a needs analysis for students who study tourism English. A questionnaire was addressed to the students (sophomore, junior, and senior students at Department of Applied English of Ming-Chuan University) in order to see what they want and expect to learn from those professional required courses; this study examined how they were supported by the instructors of tourism English courses to achieve better results in acquiring their degree, licenses and getting a job. Moreover, to see learner’s satisfaction level of the taken required courses and the teachers’ capability and characteristics as well. The results showed that specialized courses, for example professional courses related to field of tourism, were expected by students. Students who already graduated also suggested that extra specialized courses should be offered. Suggestions for future studies also were addressed in this paper.
