Personal variables such as ethnic group, student’s gender, adolescent degree, teachers’ gender, types of sibling, and family socioeconomic status were used to explore the difference of the gender equity awareness. A total of 12 schools containing 955 students from Taoyuan were selected through stratified random cluster sampling and responded to the “Questionnaire of Gender Awareness of the Sixth Grade Student”. Collected data were analyzed by PASW Statistics 18.0 with descriptive statistics, t-test and two-way ANOVA. The major findings of this study are as follows: 1.The sixth grade students of Mying and Hakka in Taoyuan County have high-level degree of the gender equity awareness . 2.There is no significant difference on the gender equity between the sixth grade students of Mying and Hakka in Taoyuan County. 3.The female students'' degree of the gender equity awareness is higher than male students''. 4.The adolescent students'' degree of the gender equity awareness is higher than who are before adolescence . 5.The degree of the gender equity awareness of the students with a female homeroom teacher is higher than those students with a male homeroom teacher. 6.The female students in the female child only family have higher degree of the gender equity awareness than the other sibling types students. 7.Family socioeconomic status have no significant influence on the students’ degree of gender equity awareness.
