Moreover, this study intends to examine the three firm governance factors, specifically CEO compensation, CEO ownership ratio, and independent director ratio, in terms of mediation. In this study, we take Taiwan’s service companies as our subject and collect the information related to each company’s degree of internationalization, CEO compensation, CEO ownership ratio, independent director ratio, and firm performance between 2005 and 2010. Using regression analysis, our findings are as follows: A company with higher degree of internationalization has inferior performance. Moreover, we find that CEO compensation and independent director ratio significantly mediates the relationship between a company’s degree of internationalization and its performance. These findings not only point out the importance of the paying mechanism which can successfully motivates CEO to make more efforts into helping one firm to maximize its profit, but also reveal that a well-organized supervision policy can lead a firm to have better performance. 作者未提供 戚靜玟 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 66 zh-TW
