Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 商品設計學系碩士班 === 100 === The hearing is an important pipeline of human to receive external messages. If the human beings loss of auditory ability, they’ll not receive external sound, and loss of social opportunities and capabilities because of the losing oral ability. In order to follow the idea of user-centered design, to realize the auditory characteristics of hearing-impaired people is the most important task to design the production for them. This study included two experiments: The first one is aiming at investigating the effect of the sound source of clues, heart rate, sound frequency and auditory type on subjects’ hearing threshold. The second one is aiming at investigating the effect of the interference type, the event rate, the target sound frequency and the strength of the target sound on subjects’ Sustained Attention.
In the first experiment, we discovered that the heart rate, auditory type and sound frequency have a significant affect to hearing-impaired people’s hearing threshold. In the other hand, we found a total of three dimensional interactions, heart rate to auditory type, heart rate to sound frequency, and hearing type to sound frequency. In the second one, we found that the target sound frequency, the intensity of the target sound and the types of interference significantly affect the subjects'' recognition accuracy. Besides, we found a two-dimensional interaction. The frequency and intensity of target sound significantly affect the subjects'' recognition accuracy. In this study, we know that hearing-impaired people’s hearing threshold actually shift in a motion. And their recognition accuracy to signals will regress with Disturbance terms. The findings could provide a reference when design the hearing impaired people’s product, such as mobile phone design, reversing radar and GPS navigation to enhance the use of the product.
