For this reason, whether or not to take pets when undertaking leisure activities (e.g., domestic tourism and recreation) has become an issue that concerns some leisure operators and pet owners. To contribute to current research, this study investigates the negative and positive influences that might affect owner’s decision to take pets when undertaking leisure activities. Examination of this study’s proposed model through structural equation modelling (SEM), finding on the one hand shows pet-associated constraints will cause owners not to take pets when undertaking leisure activities. On the other hand, motivated owners who are attached with pets and have the required negotiation strategy can overcome these challenges. Moreover, owner’s with high negotiation efficacy will have higher motivation and better negotiation strategy. The findings of this study contribute to the existing literature on leisure participation and anthrozoology. In addition, it also has wider managerial implications for tourism and recreation industries. Kuang-Peng Hung 洪廣朋 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 106 zh-TW
