碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 應用中國文學系碩士在職專班 === 100 === Since the publication of Outside the Window (Chuang Wai) in the 1963, Qiong Yao has become a famous writer in Taiwan.She totally publishs 64 works untill now. Chiung Yao is a popular name of novelist not only in Taiwan, but in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and other resident areas of Chinese people. Her works can be found even as far as Europe. She lift the ‘phenomenon of Chiung Yao,’ so she is called the dazzling star in popultion literature without any reservations.Because of her elegant writing style and dramatic section ,her works initiate the golden age of romance fiction and are still adored by many readers till today. This thesis aims to study Qiong’s long stories and noveletes, totally 16 writings. It is divited into six chapters. Firstly, introduce the life of Qiong and her creation background and thus understand her style and thought. Secondly, discuss the conflict and analyzing the main characters’ mental lives, and induct the theme, structure, and achievement in the literary skills in Qiong’s works. In addition to discussing her works from the literary point of view, this thesis also uses the base of western theory of art and adopting three esthetics principles which are shape intuition, psychological distance and empathy effect of Chu Kuang Chain to describe the perception of shape intuition, the construction of psychological distance and the blend of empathy effect.Finally , proposes that Qiong’s fiction have vary high valiue in esthetics ,and explanes the way to syudy Qiong’s fiction in future.
