The Education Ministry of Education in recent years, focuses on promoting the project
of the Reading Education, in addition to traditional library and newspaper reading, the
various regions formed as" The Philanthropic Library " is injected into an important tool
for reading education. " The Philanthropic Library " is a system of the network platform by
providing one set of books of the same number of students in the class for students. The
system is intended to enable the class by reading the same books so that teachers can make
in-depth study and improve students’s reading interest in reading by reading together. The
Philanthropic Library was established in April 2005, the first Philanthropic Library," was
located at Hushan Elementary school in the Tsaotun Town in Nantou County, They are
expanded to more than one hundred locations now.
But the Philanthropic Library has been in operation, except for a few studies to the
exploring research, the detailed operation of the system has not been to do . This study on
which the UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) to study
teachers of elementary school in Zhanghua County, study of the accepting situation to find
that " Performance Expectancy " and " Effort Expectancy " would have a significant and
positive support to " behavioral intention ", " Facilitating Conditions " would has
significant and positive support to " use behavior "; the teachers in the absence of external
pressure, their subjective wishes to use the Philanthropic Library System strongerly,then
to strengthen objectively their will to use the Philanthropic Library.
" Voluntariness of Use " and " behavioral intention " have even linkage, and " behavioral
intention " has significant impact on" use behavior "; the schools establish the centers of
the Philanthropic Library will have a negative significant effect on the use behaviors of the
Philanthropic Library System.
