| Summary: | 碩士 === 康寧大學 === 休閒管理研究所 === 100 === Related studies on the relationships between work stress and leisure participation are rather numerous; the targeted objects are extended all over to various walks of life, yet the results are pretty discrepant. Since former Kaohsiung county was consolidated with Kaohsiung city in 2010, primary school education and administrative regulations have been dramatically changed. Because of this phenomenon, the aim of this study is to clarify the fact-whether the elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung can reduce their stress by participating in leisure activities when they are under heavy workload and stress.
The study aims to understand the current situation of work stress and leisure participation of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung and to analyze the differences and correlations between the two variables on the different backgrounds of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung. The study conducted a stratified random sampling with job stress scale and leisure participation scale. First of all, a total of 480 questionnaires were distributed; 468 were returned and 465 were valid questionnaires. The effective response rate was 97%. Furthermore, the study also conducted data processing with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe Post-Hoc comparisons, Pearson correlation statistical methods. Finally, the research results are shown as follows.
1. The work stress of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung is on the degree of “lower middle,”and the strongest feeling is "workload."
2. The leisure participation of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung is on the degree of "lower middle," and the highest of leisure participation rate is "Mass Media."
3. The elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung with different gender, teaching years, work position and areas are up to significant difference on "work pressure."
4. The elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung with different gender, age, teaching years and educational degree are up to significant difference on "leisure participation."
5. The relationships between "work stress" and "leisure participation" are partially positive correlation.
