In this research the author designs and manufactures a three-wheel electric car to investigate its performance. This car was chosen to attend the 19th energy saving car competition and gained the fifth place of the competition. The traditional electric cars are heavy. They consume lots of electric energy, too. New kinds of batteries have been developed and provided electric vehicles better performances. The costs of oil have been raised year by year. Electric cars have economic benefit and can reduce the carbon exhaust. A light-weighted electric vehicle is a new trend in these years.
