Desire for relaxation and value of health facilitated the prevalence in recreational sports. Among all the recreational sports, cycling can help people achieving their health, reducing environmental pollutions and even promoting tourism. Due to the various advantages of cycling, it has become the main stream of the recreational sports. In order to make cycling become more popular, it was necessary to examine cyclists’ participation motivation. By examining the factors that affect cyclists’ participation motivation, to offer some suggestions for the government or related industries as references to promote cycling. The main purpose of this study was to investigate cyclists’ participation motivation and was conducted by focus group interview. According to the frequency of the use of the bicycle, cyclists can be divided into three types: casual cyclists, cycling enthusiasts and athletic cyclists. Three factorial constructs of participating motivation were physiological, psychological and social benefits. The conclusions were expected to be useful for the promotion in cycling in the future. 謝德鑫 張景弘 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 81 zh-TW
