In order to gain the parents’ support and increase students’ enrollments, as well as enhance schools’ entire capability of competition, the schools must created high quality learning environment. The purpose of this case study was to explore the development of a school’s specialty regarding Da-Di Drum club at Shin-Chia elementary school in Kaohsiung city. The subjects were the principal, club directors, teachers, parents and students. The study involved participate observations, interviews and documents analysis to understand the current developmental situation, ideas, goals and future vision of the development of school’s specialty. Besides, this study explored the strength and weakness, as well as its efficacy of the development of school’s specialty. Further, the study examined the rates of the participation and identification of the school teachers, parents and students toward Da-Di Drum club. Finally, the study summed up five conclusions as follows: a. The Da-DiDrum club involved unique local culture development. b. The Da-DiDrum club was helpful toward the learning of local language. c. The Da-DiDrum club acted as an important role regarding inheriting local culture. d. The school’s specialty could integrate various community resources, as well as promote the cooperation between teachers and parents. e. The Da-DiDrum club faced its difficulty of development, thus it needed to change its operating model. According to the study results, the researcher provided the suggestions for education administration, schools and future research. Key word: school’s specialty, club activity, Da-Di Drum club
