碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 100 === Library plays an important role in a university; it is a place that provides the academic knowledge and resources to the faculty and students. Libraries are changing in the way of their collection storage, services and facilities. They would offer to meet the user's needs and the changing scenario of information on account of digital technology. Despite of the traditional books, the digital resources, such as e-books, and multimedia resources, are now popular resources for users to seek and use. However, even with massive resources to offer to the users in a library, there was small ratio of that has been well utilized. The reason may due to that the library information system provides users with a passive and single service which could not satisfy the integration needs of heterogeneous resources. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to build a Library Service System that is able to recommend a personalized resource to users, and to provide diverse but integrated services to meet the user's satisfaction. The context-aware system detected the location, personal files, and the surrounding contextual information resources by the user’s handheld device. This system also employed the Ontology technology to precisely define users' profiles, resources, and services in the library. Finally, based on the Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL), inferences of the users’ interest within the surrounding resources would be made to link up the related resources. The actual operation of the system was evaluated by the users with satisfaction questionnaires. Most users (98%) were satisfied with the recommended resource and extended services from this system.
