The assessment has lasted for six years and the Company expects the case study would be instrumental in assisting the Company to objectively and precisely understand the applicability of the core competencies of the current projects in the company. To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the case study was divided into two phases. Firstly, through the discussion of the literature review to investigate the construction and procedure of the core competencies; then compared with the development of the core competencies of the company to discover the missing parts, and offer relevant recommendations for future practice. Secondly, based on the data from literature review to conduct questionnaire design and employee surveys. The target respondent of the questionnaires were the Director-level staff at semiconductor Career Center Corporation and the staff in headquarters .122 questionnaires were distributed and 122 were retrieved; the retrieval rate was 100% with 117 valid questionnaires. Valid questionnaires accounted for 95.91% of the total retrieval rate. After statistical analysis of the sample data, the study obtained the following results: First, the better performance of the core competencies of the staff, the better performance of their effectiveness at work. Second, if the company maked relevant issues and contents clear to its staff when conducting the evaluation system of core competencies and bringed satisfaction to them, it was able to enhance the performance of core competencies for its staff. Third, if the company maked relevant issues and contents clear to its staff when conducting the evaluation system of core competencies and bringed satisfaction to them, it was able to enhance the job performance of their effectiveness for its staff.
