Believers solve problems through an especial ritual ( “ Buddha Consulting ” ) which is a truly ordinary manner for residents to adopt. Previous incarnations come into being with divinity or spirit through the ritual by Buddha-converted “psychics”. The persons concerned or their families enshrine and worship previous incarnations rather than expel them away. Those pre-families, including parents, spouses and brothers are abstract and hard to testify. Which object to be worshiped is up to followers, and the chosen one is solely related to them.
Ex-life come from rituals to connect with followers. As incarnations exist in the world formally, they also pave the way to demise, since followers can make them vanished by dissolve relationships in different stages. Whether incarnations exist or not is under control by followers.
There is not much research in the field of belief for ex-life, moreover, folks in Quemoy avoid to mention it. Therefore, the study targets on belief for ex-life to make a survey. By investigating the worship halls that stand for spiritual stay for each and every family, analyzing and generalizing symbols of previous incarnations, worship space, process of dying out and so forth to comprehend how ex-life apply in daily life and what they represent or possibly mean in ancestral ideas.
